Trucks, atmosphere and conviviality

Forget everything for a moment: expensive diesel, unfair competition and other hassles; during the Truckstar Festival it is simply about enjoying more than two thousand trucks every year. That is the essence of the Truckstar Festival!

Around that: atmosphere, an entertaining track programme, conviviality, food and drinks, Dutch Evening and lots of enthusiastic visitors.

The festival is not only for drivers. Even if you have nothing with trucks, you should experience this event up close at least once. The varied and exciting programme for the main grandstand, the beautiful show trucks, classics and American trucks on the infield, and the lively Dutch Evening make this event a perfect day out for the whole family!

Entry

The Truckstar Festival already starts on Friday with the arrival of all trucks. The special trucks from the special categories arrive first, followed by the trucks that will be placed along the track. The entry itself is a spectacle, watched every year by many people along the roadside.

Along the track

After parking, all 2,200 trucks are beautifully lined up on the paddock and along the track, together with sofas, barbecues, beer taps and swimming pools. For all drivers and companions, the party has already begun. The four-kilometre-long “village” along the track is definitely worth strolling through! More information about a spot along the track.

Main grandstand programme

On Saturday and Sunday, there is show and spectacle all day on the straight in front of the main grandstand at the TT Circuit. On Sunday, the winner of the “Most Beautiful Truck of the Netherlands” award is also announced there. View the track programme.

Exhibition square & market

At the beating heart of the infield, the paddock, you will find the exhibition square. For years, the major truck brands have been represented here. In addition, there are many other stands offering truck accessories and scale models, as well as other companies active in the transport sector. The exhibition square is open on Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00. Next to it, we also have a large and lively drivers’ market.

Paddock

The heart of the festival, the paddock, is filled with the most beautiful trucks from all sectors of transport. It is highly recommended to walk around the show street (also very spectacular in the dark).

Hundreds of customised trucks from home and abroad are on display. Trucks with special paint and show trucks can even compete in a competition to be chosen as the most beautiful. Besides show trucks, there are hundreds of other special trucks on the paddock. As a truck enthusiast, this is the place to be, as you will not see so many stunning classics, shiny American trucks, heavy recovery vehicles, cranes and exceptional heavy transport vehicles together anywhere else. The Most Beautiful Truck of the Netherlands competition

The one and only truck competition is, of course, the “Most Beautiful Truck of the Netherlands” award. 24 participants compete in eight categories for this honorary title. All 24 participants are displayed by category in the Most Beautiful Truck Street during the Festival. There, everyone can admire the trucks up close and they are judged one by one by the jury. Of course, all participants drive their trucks in front of the main grandstand on Sunday morning, after which the winners are announced.

Oude Noordlus

During the festival it is also possible to park your truck on the Oude Noordlus. This spot is becoming increasingly popular and, just like the track and paddock, is very lively and fun! Below is an image of the Oude Noordlus. Blue indicates the route to the infield.

This year, the Broshuis Special Transport Square can also be found on the Oude Noordlus. In cooperation with NL Exceptioneel, 100 loaded combinations will drive from Kampen towards Assen on Friday. In addition, Mammoet Cranes will also be present at the Special Transport Square this year. Will you come by as well?

Children’s Village

For the youngest visitors, there is a children’s village every year. Here, the little festival guests can have a great time. Access to the children’s village is completely free of charge.

Dutch Music Night

On Saturday evening you can really let loose during the Dutch Music Night. Once again this year we have a real Dutch line-up!

Departure

The festival ends in spectacular fashion. As long as it takes to park more than 2,200 trucks, it is just as quick for them to leave the site again. On Sunday around 17:00, the great departure begins. And especially the big farewell wave. Tens of thousands of people along the roadside wave goodbye to the drivers. All the way to Amersfoort, people stand on bridges and at petrol stations along the roadsides. Goosebumps! Please be careful and stay safe. Stay behind the guardrail!!
